CurrentMy current role is the biophysics lead at Pfizer Boulder, an R&D unit specializing in small molecule,precision oncology. In my role, I effectively led a team of two direct reports (one Ph.D. and one non Ph.D.), identifying critical project needs and strategically utilizing my team’s resources to address them.I’ve led a significant expansion of sitewide Biacore operations, including the acquisition of an 8K andan additional T200, to keep up with increasing demand for Biacore data. My group’s equipmentresponsibilities have included routine maintenance and managing external service for three Biacoreinstruments, two high-resolution QToFs, an ITC, and a qPCR.• Developed and deployed SPR (Biacore) assays across a variety of projects to enable hit generation(Biacore 8K HTS), lead identification (SAR support for relatively weak binders), and leadoptimization (SAR support for exceedingly potent binders)• Leveraged ITC assays both for orthogonal assay validation and in cases where SPR was not viable• Extensively utilized MS and DSF techniques to assess protein-ligand binding and ensure integrityof recombinant proteins• Developed a normal-phase LC assay capable of separating nucleotides for the purpose of 1) QCof recombinant proteins and 2) assessing nucleotides bound to the target-proteins in cell lysates• Expressed and purified challenging therapeutic targets, including rigorous QC standards to enablequality results in downstream biochemical and biophysical assays
