After 5 years in a SABMiller subsidiary, I was assigned to the Regional office to enhance the processes and integration of the Supply Chain in the 7 countries of the Latin America region. Main tasks were related to the performance management, governance of regional Communities of practices, and coordinate the Supply Chain assessment throughout the region. Also several strategic projects were developed to improve the countries capabilities, ensure the country goals and enhance the Supply Chain processes. Some of the main achievements were:● Supply Chain Maturity Framework (system, process, people and performance) developed for assessments in Latin America region including all planning processes and technology● Perform assessments in Latin America region to identify best practices and gaps in the Supply Chain processes (SC Planning, Distribution and Procurement)● Coordinate the implementation of best practices in SC Planning across the operations● Implement and manage 50 KPIs of SC Planning and Distribution ● Lead the implementation of analytics tool (functional role) across Latin America region● Strategic sourcing analysis performed to reduce the logistical cost of beer importation (investment if USD 8.7M and estimated saving of USD 87M in 10 years) ● Optimization of the packaging sequence and inventory reduction using genetic algorithms, aiming to improve almost 1% the factory efficiency● Support the implementation of S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Portfolio Management process across the region

During SABMiller Global standardization project, I was assigned to support the implementation of the global Supply Chain planning process. After the cancelation of the project in Peru, I continued working in Supply Chain development projects to enhance the supply chain planning capabilities of the largest Peruvian brewing company (95% market share of beer in Perú): ● Review inventory policies using Monte Carlo method● Freshness control system and process enhanced, improving the rotation of the products and reduction of write-offs● Advance Production Planning and Advance Production Scheduling model designed to improve process and merge 2 functional areas● Long term capacity planning settled and performed for the first time with End-to-End Supply Chain perspective to optimize investments for 10 years horizon (~ USD 360M)● Support Oliver Wight Maturity model assessments across all Supply Chain functions to be recognize Class A Business Excellence Backus planning processes● Implementation and management of Supply Chain Academy (Accenture Academy) with more than 20 users

My first big target was to implement the Containers Planning process and its basic tools. After that project I started more operatives tasks in Inventory Planning and Production Planning. These were the main tasks: Demand Planning:● Accountable of the Monthly and Weekly forecasting process● Support Demand review meeting for the S&OP cycle● Run cost/benefit analysis to discontinue products ● Manage product databaseSupply Planning: ● Accountable for the inventory management and policies ● Accountable for the daily and weekly to production scheduling ● Perform intercompany purchasing and logistics (export/import) ● Apply Six Sigma to reduce the variability of the supply Inventory Planning:● Accountable for the inventory management and policies of the network● Coordinate with distribution the deliveries and transfers between depotsTactical Capacity planning:● Manage the key constraints, lead times and capability of the network● Run monthly model with 12 months planning horizon and analyze results● Prepare presentation to address capability issues in Supply Review meeting

Almost at the end of my System Engineer studies, a strategic project in Backus started to improve the Demand Planning process. The consultants hired me to support the project due to my knowledge of the Backus planning processes. My main tasks were:● Statistical Analysis to determine the best forecasting methodology● Support collaborative process analysis● Project managementAdditionaly, I supported the design and implementation of the reverse logistic planning for returnable bottles

I started my SABMiller journey as Supply Planning intern during my last years in the University. The main tasks I perfomed were: ● Inventory Planning of carbonate sorf drinks business● Reporting and KPIs management● Support strategic projects like Launch of new bottle for the main brand (Cristal) and the reduction of inventory using Six Sigma methodology

This was a dual study program in Berufsbildungszentrum Alexander von Humboldt, that included a mix of theoretical knowledge and working experience. The higher education institute was put into practice during phases of work experience at a company, in this case BASF. The companies of this program cooperate closely with the institute in organizing and sponsoring the courses. Training is across all functional areas like: Human Resources, Commercial, Logistics, Production, Accounting, etc.
