Lead product, design and marketing for a small team of builders working on top of the PoolTogether protocol. Lead the development and management of the team's roadmap, collaborating with engineers and partners to expand the protocol to 6 chains, and dozens of yield sources, growing from $0 to $20m TVL in the process.

Designing and building decentralized and permission-less financial services to help people save money.

At D-Ford, a Ford Motors research lab, I lead a team of designers, researchers and engineers working at the intersection of healthcare and mobility. Our team was responsible for designing a new service venture and piloting it with a hospital partner. Our challenges included service design, brand design and digital product design.

IDEO.org uses a combination of design research, communication design, user experience design, service design and business design to solve some of the world's most challenging problems. I lead a team of designers out of IDEO.org’s Nairobi studio. Projects included: Niko Nao, a community driven campaign to increase use of HIV self testing amongst young men in East Africa, and Future Fab Rural, a program designed to increase access to contraception for adolescent girls in rural Kenya.

Acquired by CalivaMyself and three partners took the company from concept, to prototype, to growing startup, in less than a year. I worked on user research and product design, found our earliest customers and helped the CEO and CTO raise our initial seed funding.

Neon gets more people watching online video by selecting the video thumbnails that users want to click. I worked with founder Sophie Lebrecht to define Neon's brand and user experience.

Worked on a variety of interactive and user experience design projects including web applications, Flash interfaces, product demos, and motion graphics. Managed small teams of developers and designers.

Worked in Palo Alto with IDEO team organizing and editing research video, building assets to support research insights, and preparing content for presentation. Continued work with the team in Chicago, sourcing materials and helping to organize and execute a full scale experience prototype for an international restaurant chain.

Internship at IDEO San Francisco provided experience with a variety of projects and processes. I worked as part of a team designing a full scale experience prototype for Marriott’s Towneplace Suites, shot and edited a short research video and created a series of designs aimed at reducing the use of plastic bags.
