Working as an Application Engineer providing both pre and post sales support across Saros’s technical product offering, including a mixture of On-prem and SaaS solutions.

Lead bid manager across the UKIMEA and Central European regions for the Financial Services Business Unit. Leading bids in these regions up to the value of £10m+.I was responsible for bids across their lifecycle, from qualification through to submission; including managing responses to RFI/ RFP/ RFx's, leading bid teams through the bid assurance process, creation of Price and Cost models, managing senior stakeholders at all stages of the bid response, and ensuring that the bids were delivered within the timelines and to the appropriate quality.Further to this I managed the central repository of bid material, provided training on the bid process to teams, and developed a number of bid tools to assist in the short time-frames we often had to respond to opportunities.

I worked as the engineering lead on a number of projects, focused on introducing a series of incremental improvements to the Power and Propulsion of the Royal Navy’s Type 45 Class Destroyers.Due to the small and specialised nature of the team, I was involved in the entire life cycle of the projects from concept through to design, embodiment and benefits realisation. Alongside the engineering aspects of my projects I was also responsible in their management, including the bidding to the MoD customer, and performing programme performance analysis of the Equipment Improvement Plan (EIP) as a whole. The role included a large element of both internal and external stakeholder management, with meetings regularly held with the internal Design Authorities, suppliers and the Royal Navy.

I joined the BAE Systems Graduate Development Framework as an Electrical Engineer. Individuals on the GDF undertake different placements across the business over a two year scheme, giving them experience in a number of roles and teams. My placements included a number of engineering and project based roles, including an International 6 month placement in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.1.
