Managing and leading Network N Media’s first tabletop gaming journalism website, I'm responsible for all aspects of the site’s brand, output, strategy, team, and operations – with a mandate for growth.• Grew Wargamer’s monthly audience more than 5x from ~200k people in 2021 to over 1 million in 2024 – more than any other dedicated tabletop journalism site worldwide.• Led a complete transformation of the WG brand to the tabletop industry, building a network of sources & contacts from scratch.• Personally hired, directly managed, and developed three full-time staff writers, and commissioned work from freelancers.• Wrote and edited thousands of news stories, features, guide articles, and game reviews.• Led my site to continue delivering sector-leading Google traffic through the most torrid time ever for SEO journalism: 2023-24.• Continually represented and promoted Wargamer’s brand, story, and partnership opportunities for editorial and commercial work.

Online editor responsible for subbing, proofing and publishing all editorial content for www.iii.co.uk, the web portal of the Interactive Investor (II) financial services and media group. The role includes:- Taking 7-10 financial news and analysis articles per day from raw copy to published content; including sub-editing and proof-reading, sourcing, selecting and editing image(s), laying up and publication through Drupal CMS.- Managing the layout and presentation of content on the site, ensuring articles' exposure and a swift turnaround of time-sensitive items.- Producing and managing daily and weekly HTML newsletters showcasing the site's financial news, analysis and feature content to audiences in excess of 100,000.- Creating targeted analytics reports on our articles and newsletters and using these to develop recommendations for future content, format and style choices.- Working with an in-house editorial colleague to develop and manage an engaged, professional social media presence with a consistent, appropriate and entertaining tone-of-voice.

Working with my Co-editor to research, produce, edit and publish regular high-quality news content for the online edition of Bristol University's independent student newspaper. The role also includes recruitment, management and development of a strong team of reporters from the student body as well as constant co-operation with the print edition news team to manage news content across platforms.

Researching and writing news stories and feature articles for The Local, a news website publishing Germany's news in English. My position involved finding and collating news sources from various German language papers and news-wires, and transmuting them into English-language articles for the site, www.thelocal.de. I was also responsible for collecting and publishing web galleries from online press photograph resources, as well as using images, statistical data and editing software to produce diagrams and infographics to accompany articles.
