To elaborate, I assist senior staff with employee management and organization, I open and close the business when necessary, I reconcile earnings at the end on a working day, I assist in prepping the boats by assuring their safety and cleanliness, I organize the workload based on the number of admissions, deal with possible customer dissatisfaction or disruptive members of the public, train new members of staff, assure the quality of the guided tours, and deliver the tours myself when required.

Military service is not mandatory in Italy, I joined voluntarily.Corporal, Specialised Mountain Infantry (Alpini) - tasks varied depending on the various assignments. Mostly stationed in a secluded barrack on top of the alps, I dealt with physical training in the surrounding area (skiing, climbing, running, etc). Mentally stressful due to the hierarchal working environment and the harsh weather conditions. During winter temperatures would significantly drop below zero and my colleagues and I would be subjected to outdoor training for various hours per day, sometimes at night. Teamwork and communication were essential to efficiently achieve our goals and most importantly, mentally and physically support each other when most in need. During my time in the army, it was also imperative to understand, receive, and execute orders from higher ranking soldiers/officers, but express concerns appropriately when in doubt. Finally, I occasionally acted as a team leader for new recruits/arrivals and participated in activities related to national security.
