Trained and enforced contractors on company safety standards. -> Identified and resolved department safety issues through active participation in the on-site behavior-based safety program—the site met overall safety targets and won the national Sentinels of Safety Award in 2006.-> Drove $150,000 in annual savings and increased the plant’s net output by 3,000 tons of product per year by developing a system to reintroduce waste dust back into good product.-> Implemented diverse capital projects including capital equipment, equipment upgrades, rail work (rail roads), structural steel, safety systems, concrete work, packing equipment, and dust collectors. Total budget was over $3 million.
