OptiMotion Consulting is specialised in Vehicle Dynamics & Simulation, boasting a strong theoretical and practical understanding of the field at the component, system, and full-vehicle level. Our experience spans from OEMs to F1, with a proven track record of successfully integrating CAE tools into the development process, from early stages through to product sign-off, and validating models against experimental data. We are skilled in rig testing and physical tuning, having the ability to bridge the gap between simulation and reality. OptiMotion Consulting has extensive modelling experience with an understanding of the limitations and strengths of simulation.

Created and implemented unique suspension concepts to improve performance on current and future cars. Correlated simulation models at both component and vehicle levels using laboratory and track data to improve suspension prediction work. Developed and implemented new tools, methods, procedures to analyze and improve car behavior. Provided predictive performance metrics for simulation, race, and test events. Performed and developed pre-event simulations aimed at suspension ride and handling performance on track. Supported races by checking the setup of the car and giving setup direction support.

Responsible for CAE analyses through simulation of steering, handling, and ride. Planned and performed multi-body simulations, including analysis of results, recommendations for design changes, and reporting. Developed new methods and tools for chassis development, model building, development, and validation in Adams Car and VI-CarRealTime. Programmed virtual test scenarios and post-processing. Communicated vehicle project deliveries. Deliverables included: suspension bushing/hardpoint optimization and platform tire program dimensioning.

Worked with a leading Swedish Touring Car team to understand and maximize the performance of their Audi RS3 LMS TCR racecar. Developed a full-vehicle model and used it in proprietary lap-time simulation software. Assisted the team to achieve multiple pole positions and race wins, secure third place in the championship, and win the junior driver championship in STCC. Tasks included deriving Pacejka MF coefficients from supplier data, deriving suspension kinematics, modeling the limited-slip differential, and generating aero maps from coast-down test data. Analyzed logged data in terms of vehicle and driver performance. Specified car setup and rules compliance.

Assigned with implementing component models for use in a real-time driving simulator for a client. Deliverables included modelling and implementing nonlinear suspension components, providing documentation and validating the models against experimental data. Software usage included VI-Grade CarRealTime, Python, Matlab/Simulink, ADAMS Car and Siemens HEEDS. Worked in both Windows and Linux environments and ran simulations on an HPC cluster.

Developed novel and computationally efficient QSS lap-time simulation methods as part of MSc Thesis. Used constrained nonlinear optimisation algorithms and optimal control methods to find the minimum lap-time of an F1 racecar. Delivered Matlab code to showcase the techniques.

Responsible for the design and manufacture of a motorised, multi-axis, high-end engine stand to be used in the engine assembly department, service workshops and showrooms. Also redesigned the plastic vacuum-formed HVAC-ducts of the Regera model to lower assembly time and effort. Created 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA V5 and integrated files with the Smarteam PDM system.

Assembled, tested, and disassembled prototype electro-mechanical transfer cases for Jaguar Land Rover. Created 3D models and 2D drawings of testing equipment using Creo.
