Developed Dumpling Manatee Simulation to raise awareness for the Florida manatee and the Unusual Mortality Event caused by nutrient pollution and malnutrition, and to study the effectiveness of Virtual Reality as a tool for environmental education.- Developed and documented a VR template project to streamline students’ introduction to Unity with Quest 2- Guided students through debugging and developing VR projects in weekly office hours- Outlined study procedures with researched questionnaires for a significant evaluation of a VR educational simulation

Developed Twizzlers Manatee Simulation to raise awareness on the Florida manatee and the threat of high speed boat collisions as part of a summer internship with the Environmental Discovery Awards Program, New College of Florida, and the Cross-College Alliance.• Designed 5 scenes in a game with Unity3D to create an intuitive VR experience that raises awareness for environmental issues manatees face • Utilized the Oculus library to build a Quest-compatible game that educates and builds sympathy for manatees in the local environment • Iterated designs and collected feedback for user interactions to make a simulation that is intuitive and easy to understand • Collaborated with 3 peers to share 3D assets, leading to faster and higher quality development of a 3D VR game • Assembled 3D assets and particle systems into a realistic underwater scene to create an immersive underwater level for VR• Led students at a summer camp through an interactive game-development lesson with the Scratch programming language
