Project Description:Automation Configuration Tool(ACT) is a desktop application for Siemens Oil And Gas Offshore engineers. This software package provides a user interface for users to do engineering work in the respective workflows.The background service enables the deployment of certain engineering work to respective target hosts and patching of certain 3rd party software like Aspen InfoPlus.21, OSIsoft PI Server and PI Data, WinCC OA, PCS7.The backend database(PostgreSQL or SQLite) stores the configurations made within the ACT workflows.Responsibilities:• Technical ownership of dedicated products/systems inside ACT;• Development and implementation of new features according to the technical and functional specifications;• Writing functional specifications and system design documentation based on customer and requirement specifications;• Bug fixing.

Project Description:The project's scope was to migrate an old web application compatible with Internet Explorer 8 or previous versions. The app used the "XML Data Islands" feature which is not supported anymore in the IE's newer versions or other non-IE browsers.Responsibilities:• Migration of a web application (ASP pages only compatible with Internet Explorer 8) for cross-browser compatibility;• Rewriting the old code in order for it to be supported by modern browsers, including Chrome, Mozilla, IE11, and Safari;• Development and implementation of a shim JavaScript framework to replace the existing XML data islands functionality;• Writing the new code in JavaScript as part of the view migration;• Replacing the old Silverlight control susing an open source jQuery plugin called "jsTree".
