🌌 Passionate about Data-Driven Astronomy 🪐I'm Ally, and my journey in astrophysics and applied math fuels my passion for data-driven astronomy work.Currently, I am captivated by the fascinating world of brown dwarfs; I am part of BDNYC, a brown dwarf research group based at the American Natural History Museum. My role has involved working on data accessibility and organization through my contributions to the SIMPLE Archive. Additionally, I've delved into the development of software for analyzing brown dwarf spectra—a quest that has deepened my commitment to advancing the field of astronomy.Beyond my research endeavors, I serve as a Teaching Assistant at Barnard College. This role not only hones my teaching skills but allows me to contribute to creating an inclusive environment in astronomy and physics where all women feel welcome. As I approach graduation in May, I am eager to explore future opportunities that align with my passion and skills. If you share a similar enthusiasm for data-driven astronomy, brown dwarfs, exoplanets, or atmospheric science, reach out!
