I worked as a part of a team to help customers find what they were looking for. My role was vital as I was the only one that spoke Russian and Slovak as well as English which enabled me to assist customers that had little to no English speaking skills and ensured that these customers also received the best shopping experience.

I was responsible for filing product purchasing forms as well as gathering everything needed to plan and fund a paid-for business trip. This gave me an insight into what the financial sector of a research institute does.

In my first job, my duties and responsibilities shifted over the course of my employment, as I demonstrated proficiency in customer service. This eventually led to me adding monetary tasks to my responsibilities, ranging from the tallying of money at the end of the day to writing accounts for the owners. One of the biggest skills I have gained from this is confidence and seeking employment so early in my life encouraged me to be hardworking and independent.
