One day, I want to open a community activist cafe, where people can convene with their community, develop public policy strategy, and enjoy a warm cup of tea and a delicious pastry.But that is a "one day" kind of thing. What bearing does it have on the me of today? For one, it speaks to my passion and ability to create and hold space for people so that they may make their voices heard. And for another, it means I love to bake.I strive to create a little community cafe around me in everything I do, making space for people to share their stories and using my writing and advocacy skills to project these stories into the wider world.I am incredibly passionate about environmental, racial, and economic justice. In the past, I have used my strong research and writing skills to advocate for action at the West Lake Landfill Superfund site and have developed strategy to strengthen Washington University's fossil fuel divestment campaign.Send me a message if you want to grab a coffee and talk about environmental justice.
