About Alexandra Bartkoske, Cams
When I tell people that I am a Finance major and an English Rhetoric and Competition minor at Miami University's Farmer School of Business, I get confused looks and asked why that combination. Since I was young, I've always loved to write. Now that I am in college, I am able to see how having a background in English can really help me develop into a strong future consultant. Together, these two programs help me broaden my scope of the professional world, develop strong critical thinking skills, and prepare for life outside of Miami University. One huge part of my life is my non-for-profit, Music for Military Kids. As a military kid, I understand the difficulties and stress that military kids experience with having a parent being deployed. I have also been classically trained in piano and having a creative outlet allowed me to better express my emotions. I firmly believe that no military kid who wants music lessons should have to go without. Music for Military Kids was born in 2020 and I look forward to growing this organization. Currently, I work as an on-campus intern for Turning Technologies, where I show new students how to use clickers in class and help professors set up and use the program to ask mind-probing questions in lectures. I enjoy my position because it allows me to interact with interesting professors and assist them in engaging students in the classroom. Additionally, I am also a consultant with Ringold Financial Management Services, Inc., where I conduct cash account testing and and ensure internal controls are in place. After I graduate from Miami University in May, I will be moving back home to Chicago, where I will join Crowe LLP in their Financial Crimes Consulting division. In my spare time, I love to travel, cook, and work out.
Listed skills include Leadership, Microsoft Office, Management, Piano Performance, and 14 others.
