I am an experienced academic in organisation studies and organisational behaviour. As an established qualitative researcher with advanced in-depth interviewing and qualitative data analysis skills, and with experience of working in mixed-methods teams, I have a developed track record of international publications and an established research agenda. My research focuses on critical approaches to management, work and organisation, and on key issues faced by organisations such as power, resistance, change, knowledge, learning, identity and new technology. Current interests include the experiences, trajectories and identities of early-career professionals, the organisational impact of Brexit and Trumpism, and organisational learning in public service organisations. I have supervised 10 PhD students to successful completion, and currently have five more supervisions in progress. I am also the Director of Research Degrees for the Faculty of Business and Law at the Open University, and am regularly involved in training, developing and mentoring workshops for Doctoral students and early-career researchers at national and international levels.As a teacher, I have extensive experience at all Higher Education levels (PhD, MBA, MSc and undergraduate, including degree apprenticeships), different modes of delivery (full-time, part-time, executive, international, distance learning, online), and cohort sizes ranging from 5 to 900+. I have successfully designed, validated, delivered and led modules and programmes in a range of subject areas and levels. I have also successfully supervised over 30 postgraduate taught students (MBA and MSc). My additional skills and experiences include editing, consulting, five modern languages, and ICT competences (including qualitative data analysis software packages NVivo and MaxQDA, Virtual Learning Environments, AdobeConnect, Skype and Zoom).
