I am currently an assistant in the Office of the Dallas Mayor and City Council, where I focus on administrative support and policy research.Previously, I interned in the Congressional District Office of TX-30 under Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett. Here I gained experience in legislative analysis, constituent communication, and event coordination.I graduated from Wellesley College cum laude with my B.A. in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies. At Wellesley I served as the President of College Government. In this role I served as the leader for the student body and the primary liaison between the student body and College administration to represent the needs of the student body. Additionally, within this role I led College Government Cabinet and weekly Senate meetings, a body of over 75 elected Senators, in order to discuss and implement new school wide policies. At Wellesley I also worked as a Student Admissions Assistant in the Admissions Office, where I lead campus tour experiences and promote the College to prospective students and families.Summer 2022 I worked at the Center for Cross-Cultural Learning in Rabat, Morocco where I served as a project and digital intern. In this role I led cultural exchanges and modernized the website and client intake system. While working in this role I also utilized my Arabic Language skills, both the Modern Standard Dialect and the Moroccan Dialect (Darija). During Summer 2021 I was an intern in the Communications Department at Annies List in Austin, Texas where I drafted content for the website and social media. Within this role I also researched and tracked relevant legislation. Throughout 2020 I worked as the Digital Director and later the Deputy Field Director for the Alex Enriquez for Dallas ISD School Board Campaign in Dallas, Texas. In these roles I developed our social media following and engagement while connecting with constituents and analyzing local voter data to develop a field plan.In my free time I enjoy reading and roller skating!
