Hello! I’m Alexandra Coffey, a freshman at George Washington University's Columbian College of Arts & Sciences. I am passionate about a plethora of subjects, including sociology, philosophy, law, political science, public policy, and community organizing.I have expressed these interests in different ways throughout my community, from taking part in volunteer work to interning on congressional campaigns. I am the Director of Creatives for Bucks Liberation Coalition, Director of Newsletter for Youth4Unity, former campaign intern for Ashley Ehasz, Gwen Stoltz, Judy Dixon, and Bucks United, former intern for Immigrant Rights Action, and outreach team member for the Justice Education Project. In addition to this, I enjoy writing for local newspapers and advocating against book censorship in CBSD.My work has been featured in the Washington Post, Bucks County Beacon, Bucks County Courier, Philly Inquirer, WHYY, WBUR, 6ABC, The Doylestown Patch, 69 News/WFMZ, the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, and “School Moms: Parent Activism, Partisan Politics, and the Battle for Public Education” by Laura Pappano.Although ever-evolving, the current main goals of my activism are to promote political education by making information more accessible and digestible while establishing a space for young advocates. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to serve my community, and hope to accomplish such in all that I do.In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, thrifting, going to concerts with friends, and taking nature hikes.
