Responsible for the fiscal affairs of the Engineering Society which includes the management and allocation of Society funds, preparation and presentation of budgets and financial records, and reviews with external auditors. Coordinate and direct the activities and events of 50+ directors and the Student Services Commissioner. Chair the Engineering Capital Improvement Fund and represent Engineering on the Student Life Endowment Fund operated by the Federation of Students at the University of Waterloo.

The primary project I worked on was an investigation of rail car loading performance when loading rail cars for the shipment of vehicles. To improve the loading performance I determined the root cause of their performance errors, develop countermeasures, and implement a standardized process for continued success. The success in this project had a direct impact on TMMC's ability to deliver vehicles to customers on time.

Part of the Corporate Value Added team within the Operations and Manufacturing Engineering Department working to develop solutions to reduce manufacturing costs and improve production efficiency. Developed an alternative packaging design based on operator feedback to improve manufacturability and reduce shipping weight while working closely with the packaging supplier and production facility. Leadership role in coordinating safety / functionality testing and drafted cost justification presentation for product improvement projects.

Analyzed data of component shortage problems, inventory controls, product demand, and manufacturing lead times. Prepared weekly shortage reports, which included accurate quantity recommendations to ensure that parts were received on time to maintain internal and external customer satisfaction. Worked directly with existing suppliers to understand the fit and function of components and discussed manufacturing process changes needed to ensure the sourcing of quality aircraft engine parts. Team member in the selection, development, monitoring and control of suppliers. Performed audits and completed business case analysis pertaining to product and manufacturing processes to determine compliance and effectiveness of suppliers.
