I have been qualified as physiotherapist for 22 years . I worked for the first 5 years for the NHS in Brighton and Bournemouth hospitals then started to locus in an Army camp in Blandford Forum. I then made the leap and joined the Army in 2004 as an RAMC physiotherapy Officer. My Career consisted of working in Germany in a rehabilitation unit, 2 operational tours in Iraq and one in Bosnia. My next posting was to Northern Ireland where I ran a primary care rehabilitation facility (PCRF) and had the opportunity to be attached to a regiment going on an exercise to Belize. I spent 7 weeks in the jungle treating the injured soldiers. After Northern Ireland I went to the training regiment in Winchester where I ran the PCRF and managed the regions 4 other PCRFs, I received my promotion to Major during this posting. I completed my 7 years in the Army in Tidworth managing a large PCRF. After finishing in the Army I moved with my husband to Dubai. I started to work at the Physiotherapy Centre at the Aviation Club where I worked for 4 years. During this time I started a family and had two children . My interest in Womens' Health grew after having my children and after completing several courses I started to work at Genesis Perinatal Care Clinic caring for both pre and post natal ladies. I moved from the aviation club and Genesis in August 2015. From 2015 to July 2022 I worked at optimalTHERAPY in Dubai where I took on the role as clinical director and lead the department pushing forward women health care in the local community. My current role is as senior physiotherapist at Genesis Health Care centre in Dubai, which is a multi professional team. My main focus is on Sports injuries and Womens Health and the integration of these two areas of physiotherapy.
