As a John Lewis Partner, I have a duty to make meaningful contributions to the success of our business. All my responsibilities (merchandising, customer service, stock rotation, managing and organising inventories, managing and organising floor moves) add value to our business, being cost-efficient, increasing customer satisfaction and productivity.

Responsible for delivering excellent customer service, visual merchandising, conducting daily stock-takes, I had the opportunity to deputise when my manager was away on long leave, doing rotas and pay roll, and supervising and training other team members. Building an effective team, I was able to keep my team members engaged, which had a considerate impact on our store productivity, but also on the team’s well-being and engagement, with absence records considerably improving.

Working for a small family organisation, I was responsible for supporting every area of the business, as and when required: delivering customer service, visual merchandising, stock management, stock taking, collecting and analysing sales data, developing and administrating the company’s website. This was an opportunity for me to significantly contribute to building an employer brand, make cost savings and improve efficiency and productivity.
