Alexandra grew up alongside the mangroves and waves of the west coast of Florida. She brought admiration for the environment to college, where she led a campaign to divest her university’s endowment from the fossil fuel industry. She has led workshops with farmers in India and lived in a Wyoming state park where she taught visitors the park’s natural history. Alexandra has received numerous scholarships and fellowships focused on planning, international development, and sustainability. During graduate school in Boston, she published pieces at the intersection of social and environmental policy and urban planning. After working as a climate resilience consultant in the nation’s capital, Alexandra worked as an urban planner in Maryland. She is now a Climate and Soil Health Coordinator with the American Farmland Trust.
