Design and implement individual and group occupational therapy interventions for children ages 0-21 in the outpatient, school-based, telehealth, and in-home settings with an emphasis on emotional regulation and trauma informed care. In this position, I work with clients with diverse abilities, many of whom are autistic or neurodivergent. Additionally, I have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple disciplines and clinicians (ST, PT, ABA, Psychologists, Physicians, etc.) on a regular basis to ensure optimal care and a holistic treatment plan for each child. Typical intervention areas include: self-care, emotional regulation, sensory processing and integration, interoception, visual-motor integration, fine motor skills, and feeding.

Provide care to a middle-aged woman with a disability by assisting with daily therapies, activities of daily living, and all other areas of occupation. Preciously responsible for organizing all staff to create a monthly staffing schedule for a period of time in this role.

As a part of my OT programs clinical fieldwork, I evaluated and treated a wide range of patients in an outpatient setting (with some inpatient experience). In this role, I fabricated custom orthoses, conducted initial evaluations, and assessed upper extremity conditions. Working closely with an orthopedic surgeon and other medical professionals, I generated individualized treatment plans, adjusting as necessary all under the supervision of an OTR/L who was certified in hand therapy and lymphedema.

As a part of my OT programs clinical fieldwork, I educated and treated a wide range of children in an OP setting, and collaborated with parents and other health professionals to meet the needs of each child. Conducted evaluations and developed new goals and plans of care for clients all under the supervision of an OTR/L.

Coordinated with a team of professors and teaching assistants to hold weekly discussion sessions and office hours for approximately 380 undergraduate students each semester. Assisted in the transition of the course from in-person to online.

In this position, I assisted in teaching an accelerated human anatomy lab and lecture course for 25 students enrolled in UW-Madison's Occupational Therapy Program. I held open office hours for students, attended all labs and lectures to clarify content and assist the instructors, and was responsible for proctoring written and lab exams.

Administered clinical assessments (BOT-2, EASI, grip strength, balance, and postural stability) to children ages six to 17 years old in a lab setting with other research assistants. In addition, I scored, validated, and entered data from clinical self-report questionnaires and interviews. In this role, I conducted research with a team of other research assistants and the principal investigator looking at specific daily living skills that are associated with motor challenges in children with and without autism.

In this role I provided care for an elderly man, assisting him with activities of daily living and some therapies when necessary. Attended to his personal needs as well as his community mobility in order to attain optimal participation in his daily life. Throughout my time in this position I managed the scheduling for all employees and maintained regular communication with the client's family. Additionally, I monitored and documented vital signs, cognitive and physical changes, and ensured adequate nutritional intake.

I began this role as an intern and advanced to a family intake and lead respite care specialist position. In this role, I worked with children ages birth to six years old with delays or disabilities. I was responsible for coordinating and assigning duties to staff and volunteers, guiding families through the intake process and goal setting, and providing family support for appointments and IFSP meetings. In addition, I was responsible for supervising UW-Madison rehabilitation psychology fieldwork students by hosting weekly check-ins and meetings with their instructors.

Provided care to elderly patients on the long-term care, rehabilitative, and assisted living units in the building. Worked with a diverse staff to assist residents with activities of daily living and charted daily information on residents such as emotional status, mobility, and other health indicators.

Camp for children with autism ages nine through fifteen years old, camp is held for one week each summer.

Ran participant sessions and conducted interviews with children with and without diagnoses of conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and their parents. Collaborated with a team to code behavioral observations of parent-child interactions, and conducted independent research investigating the relationship between childhood ADHD and parenting behaviors.
