Here’s the thing about a song: It’s specific to the person who wrote it, but it’s a different experience for the person who listens to it. It’s like a little box that you open and that transports you to another place and time.Live shows work the same way. That’s where your humanity as a performer is on full display. It’s not about perfection, it’s about making a connection. You’re reaching out to the audience, creating a new space, creating an experience.This all began for me at 8 years old when I started writing songs. But my life in music didn’t really bloom until I met my future husband and lifelong collaborator, C.T. Fields, at an all-night diner near the Seton Hill University campus. He was a musician, I was a lyricist, but he made me realize I was also a singer. He gave structure to my work, and together we brought energy and passion to performances.
