Mona Vale

This role involved creating work instructions for a large re-engineering project for a medical devices company at their manufacturing plant in Mona Vale. The project involved a tight timeline and large volumes of data. Over 400 surgical packs needed to be analysed, photographed and documented. Flexibility was required, as priority lists changed almost daily depending on availability of components.Trained in Lotus Notes databases and templates.• Photographed surgical packs and their components using a digital camera.• Created photo files for surgical packs. Strict naming conventions needed to be adhered to and then uploaded to a designated database.• Used Photo Manager to edit photos to acceptable company standards.• Collected comprehensive data on surgical pack components. This data was then recorded using Excel spreadsheets.• Created work instructions for the Production Team by inserting photographs into a Lotus Note template in the required order for Production. Identified and named each component and their quantities, and collated with other data previously collected. This information was documented using Excel.• Compared the Bill of Materials with the list of components accompanying each pack to identify any discrepancies. Write up a Discrepancy Report for each pack.• Organised photo files once the work instruction was drafted and catalogued folders for completed work instructions.• Photographed separate components and label for Component Database.• Worked in a team of four to organize the workload and to identify new tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
