I completed over 570 hours of field experience at my 5th grade classroom in Savoy, IL.

Along with being a general member of the teaching fraternity Epsilon Delta, I work with the social team to create ice-breakers and social events for the organization.

I am on a board of representatives for class cohorts where I share concerns and achievements regarding the elementary education program at UIUC. I meet twice a semester with my team and two education advisors where we discuss things we can do to improve the program, or things we should continue to do.

I am a Global Café Team Member, a position where I facilitate weekly meetings between international students and faculty about current events in the world.

I helped create the first-ever diversity & inclusion workshop for Student Alumni Ambassadors. Additionally, I organized a diversity speaker for our internal engagement event, and worked with SAA's executive board to create a diversity & inclusion statement during the summer of 2020.

I co-taught in a fourth-grade bilingual classroom during the Covid pandemic. I logged over 70 classroom hours and taught lessons in Spanish to my students.

I observed and taught in a 2nd grade gifted classroom in a virtual setting. I completed 40 hours of observations and taught two ELA lessons.

Community Of Madrid, Spain

I was a co-teacher in a third grade classroom at a bilingual school in Madrid, Spain.

With this position, I reached out to campus RSO's to encourage them to participate in the 2019 iHelp event. I assisted with the logistics of the iHelp event, like creating bus routes and passing out necessary items. I also organized the members of each participating RSO on the day of the event.

I was a facilitator for the Diversity & Inclusion Workshop that is mandatory for all new and transfer students at UIUC. I was one of two freshman among a group of sixty facilitators who taught this workshop. I taught incoming students about diversity on campus, micro-aggressions, identity acceptance and how to make our campus more inclusive.
