Alexandra Graelles Email and Phone Number
I am a senior at the University of Texas at San Antonio majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology. I am currently a research assistant for the Promoting Resilience In Diverse (PRIDE) Family Studies Lab and The Team on Acculturation, Risk, and the Development of Identity and Self (TARDIS) Lab. These labs focus on the intersections of various components of minoritized identities such as sexual orientation, gender identity, and ethnic/racial identity to inform clinical interventions, public policy, and education, and to bolster inclusivity in health care. Additionally, I'm employed at the English Language Center at the University of Texas at San Antonio as a student assistant, which allows me to interact with and assist international students of diverse backgrounds.During my junior year, I began exploring my passion for intersectional research. My research interests focus on the effects of sexual/gender identity and ethnic/racial identity on psychopathology and interpersonal relationships. As an aspiring clinical psychologist, I hope to provide culturally-informed clinical interventions for couples, families, and individuals in underserved populations.
