Founded in Silicon Valley in 2009, Skybox is backed by leading venture firms and comprised of internet and aerospace professionals.As an imaging scientist, I work on simulation, characterization, calibration, and analysis of the optical image chain:• End-to-end simulations of the satellite imagery• Camera sensor calibration and characterization, including test design, algorithm development, and algorithm implementation within parallel computing framework

Radar systems engineer for active spaceborne Flight Projects, systems in development, and systems in the concept formulation phase. I worked on radar performance model development, system trade studies, system-level data analysis, science data analysis, and algorithm development and performance characterization. Past projects include:• Mars Curiosity rover landing radar• Airborne Microwave Observatory of Subcanopy and Subsurface (AirMOSS), an airborne ground penetrating radar for measuring soil moisture over North America• satellite based scatterometers for measuring ocean vector winds globally, including QuikSCAT and OSCAT

PhD thesis research on developing a catheter-based Raman spectroscopy system capable of characterizing and diagnosing atherosclerosis in the coronary artery. I focused on catheter development (simulation, modeling, fabrication, and characterization) as well as data analysis, signal processing, and classification algorithms.Master's thesis research on using optical coherence tomography (OCT) for elastography. I developed a bench-top arterial flow model and used it to validate numerical techniques for calculating strain from OCT image sequences.
