I am a Victory Scholarship Co-founder at Children of Hope, a nonprofit organization that provides education and empowerment opportunities for children and young adults in the Dominican Republic. I am also pursuing a Master of Arts degree in International Educational Development at Teachers College, Columbia University, with a focus on agency-building through education in conflict-affected contexts. I have a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, summa cum laude, from Georgetown University, and I have completed academic programs in Cameroon and France, where I studied social development and international relations, respectively.As a Victory Scholarship Co-founder, I initiated and maintained a partnership with local Dominican professionals, religious groups, and American donors to create a scholarship fund and mentorship program for young women who face barriers to access higher education. I write biannual newsletters for donor engagement, lead a group of three in planning fundraising events, curate books and weekly activities for the reading group, account for finances, coordinate wire transfers, and provide practical assistance to scholars struggling with statelessness. I am passionate about creating inclusive and transformative learning environments that foster the agency and empowerment of marginalized learners. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have taught English as a second language to over 300 students of different ages and proficiency levels, and served as an outreach coordinator to identify and address the needs of learners' families. I am fluent in English, Spanish, and French, and I have strong skills in curriculum development, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration.
