Alex is the Senior Research Program Manager in the Research team within SA Water. She manages research programs from development and option assessment, through delivery to close out and implementation of outcomes back into the business. She is actively involved in research projects and consultancies for direct application to wastewater, recycled water, biosolids and stormwater schemes for management of pathogens, nutrients and chemical constituents. Alex has a particular interest in the development of methods for the validation of wastewater treatment plants and recycled water schemes including ASP, polishing lagoons, DAFF, membranes and disinfection systems (chlorine, chloramine and UV) for human pathogenic viruses, protozoa (in particular Cryptosporidium) and surrogates. Research is also focussed on pilot plants for establishing Anammox and granular activated sludge and establishing fugitive emission levels at WWTPs.
