Responsible for a team of 7 buyers and purchasing assistants. Running the Purchasing Department efficiently and affectively on a daily basis with an annual, growing spend of 42m.- Represented the company at key meetings with customers, discussing operations, strategy, implementation and achievements of KPI targets. Achieving over £2m annual savings to exceed targets year on year.- Supply chain management and relationship development with a variety of suppliers including OEMs, distributors and engineering contractors for both high value RFQs, large volume supply contracts and one off purchases.- Chairing monthly Operations and Purchasing meetings with senior management and within my own team to discuss customer issues, KPIs on savings and other targets, resource planning, process improvements and implementation.- Management of Head Office if senior management was not present.- Department management including resource planning, allocation of roles, responsibilities and tasks, day-to-day support and problem solving, training, staff development, mentoring, recruitment and ensuring a high level of customer service throughout.- Management and continuous improvement of business processes from order through to completion, with other departments to ensure an efficient and accurate process.

Responsible for supply chain integration, order processing, business development and mentoring a team of two Purchasing Assistants.- Managing the supply base, negotiation of contracts, RFQs, discount agreements, rebates, purchase orders and resolving supplier issues and account queries.- Management of company HR, payroll, accounts support, company vehicles, business insurance and back office administration processes with one assistant.- Customer liaison and development to achieve KPIs and increase customer base.

Responsible for transactional purchasing: order placement, invoice queries, expediting, transactional accounts, sales and purchase invoice processing. Also responsible for HR, payroll, company vehicles, business insurance and associated back office support.
