I was an Assistant Ecologist at Fellgrove, a well established ecology and arboricultural consultancy that provides high-quality services to clients across the south east of England. I have a BSc in Zoology from the University of Sussex, where I developed a strong passion and breath if knowledge in animal biology, ecology, and conservation.In this role, I conducted various surveys and assessments on habitats and protected species, such as bats, reptiles, badgers, hazel dormice and GCN. I also use the UKHAB classification methods. My survey work was followed up by in depth species-specific reports, PEA reports and support in EcIA and BNG reports. I also gained experience in supervising ECoWs. My role involved the following:-PEA Surveys and PEARs following UKHAB classification for habitat types.- Bat emergence/re-entry, activity, and GLTA surveys.-Reptile surveys and translocations.- Badger monitoring surveys and sett closures.-GCN surveys.-Species specific report writing including mitigation and enhancement.- Dormice survey set ups.- Support in EcIA reports.- Supervising ECoWs.- Support in BNG metric and reports.

On a day-to-day basis I spoke to customers over the phone handling general equiries,selling and renewing home insurance policies and also contacted other departments to assist customers.

As a founding member of this society my role was diverse. I was active in organising events, I had to liaise with other societies, advertise our seminar speaker events on rewilding, form volunteering groups for surveys at Knepp Castle Estate and educate peers and students on rewilding.
