As a child I wanted nothing more than to live at the zoo. Every species brought a new curiosity that needed to be explored. Whether it had fur, scales, feathers or a creepy crawly somewhere in-between, I had such respect and passion for learning about wildlife, and now as an adult nothing has changed. I believe zoos and wildlife sanctuaries play a vital role in animal conservation by educating the public, supporting further wildlife research, and preserving biodiversity that might otherwise be threatened or even extinct in the wild. I'm working towards a career in which I can help ensure the survival of endangered species and make animals living in captivity more comfortable by maintaining a proper facility.
