-Led by student dancers through New Trier High School, which strengthened my independence. We had to stay on-task and allot an appropriate amount of rehearsal time. -Directed warm up classes and learned student choreography for a final performance, which strengthened my leadership and group collaborative skills. I came up with specific exercises to teach a warm up class of 40 people before I would rehearse with a group of 5 people for a dance a fellow peer choreographed. Group members worked through issues themselves.-Met for 12 hours a week, which accustomed me to a busy schedule.

-Danced 25 hours a week in the downtown studios which were an hour away from my home-Taught by Daniel Duell, former principal dancer with the New York City Ballet-Learned advanced repertory, including Balanchine ballets

-Auditioned with nearly 1000 dancers for only 30 spots in the program, so dancers must rise to the competitive challenge. -Taught by Suzanne Farrell 4 hours a day, 6 days a week at the Kennedy Center - we took direction from a highly respected ballet icon.-Attended outings throughout Washington DC, so dancers needed to develop independence.

-Danced 25 hours a week and endured the rigor of the program.-Learned ballet technique by year round Miami City Ballet school staff-Competitively auditioned in January of 2013, so I have learned to be healthily competitive

-Learned ballet technique from Alexei Kremenev and Anna Reznik, former soloists with the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow-Performed in productions of ‘The Nutcracker,’ ‘Sleeping Beauty,’ and ‘Cinderella.’-Danced ballet, jazz, modern, character, and took classes in pilates; it added up to 25+ hours a week, and learning to budget time was important.
