I have been affiliated with Rutgers University since beginning as an undergraduate student in 2012, continuing through graduate school until 2016, and kickstarting my career as a Lecturer since 2015. My graduate studies focused on applied research methodology in the field of psychology. My aim as an instructor is to provide students with practical knowledge that can be used beyond the course by providing real life experiences and honing skills that will be useful in graduate school and their careers. I then became a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in 2019, initially working with older adults in a sub-acute rehab center. I eventually transitioned to working in Early Intervention where I provide therapy services to infants and toddlers with developmental delay, with my goal being to help families feel competent and confident in enhancing their child's development. My desire to pursue a career in Early Intervention stemmed from my son going through the program from 3 months until 3 years old, a time during which I developed a resolve to help families in similar situations as my own. My professional and personal experiences, together, have provided me with a unique skill set that I am currently and proudly using as a member of the Leadership Team and Board of Directors for Project CASK, an innovative, research driven, and parent led non-profit organization that aims to find treatments for CASK gene disorders.
