My role involved not just character creation but also the shooting process.I've handled the entire spectrum of character creation, from modeling, texturing, LookDev, and rigging to compositing and editing.Story Development | StoryBoardBeginning from scratch, our team co-crafted a narrative revolving around two pivotal characters: the creator and the creation. The creation, our sole 3D asset, was central to our stylized universe. I created a storyboard to diversify shots, capturing the essence of our story's development.Character Artist | Modeling | Texturing | LookDev | RiggingI modeled the character to match the character design and fit in our stylized universe.I used the texturing and look dev as crucial stages to give our character a distinct 2D appearance and to ensure a seamless blend with our universe.Compositing | EditingI integrated our character in our short film to allow it to blend smoothly and added effects to strengthen the 2D look. It allowed a seamless fusion with our universe.I've spearheaded the development of our project, ensuring its alignment with our style and narrative depth.Throughout this project, I prioritized communication within our team.     | Modeling | Creature Artist | Character Artist | Texture Artist | LookDev |I modeled both characters in the film in a Photorealistic and magic mood.The goal with our characters was to create a fish that would help narrate the story and make the spectator discover our underwater world, that regenerated through the Opera singer song, until the creature awakens, mixing both worlds.So I followed a reference of a square back anthias. My goal was to ensure accuracy while making it coherent with our movie's vision.I created a procedural setup in Mari to achieve seamless scale textures.I also created organs inside its body to get a more realistic look for the translucence and the SSS. Texturing and LookDev played a crucial role in achieving the photorealistic aspect.The second character, a creature, was based on the character design of Élia Paoli. I followed the design with precision, breathing life into the creature through organic modeling, texturing, and LookDev.A challenge of our film was to avoid a flat look that can occur underwater. For that reason I used an OSL shader to get the right iridescence. I also had to create 2 look devs for each character, one to reproduce the lack of speculars underwater and the other for the Opera scene.Working on this film was an incredible journey of artistic growth and technical exploration to always achieve the best result.----I Software I- Zbrush - Maya - Mari - Vray - Substance Designer - Photoshop -----| 3D Artist | Modeling | Creature Artist | Character Modeling | Organic Modeling | Texturing | LookDev
