Currently teaching introductory English Speaking courses to multiple sections of first year students. The goal of the speaking classes are to promote critical thinking skills, improve their flow of speaking, and provide an environment where students can feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and opinions. I also have students work on group projects in which they need to do research and create videos.AY 2022-2023: Taught an introduction to Academic Writing course both online and in person to first year students. The aim of the course was to help students develop their overall writing skills. Students improved their fluency in writing, engaged in peer review tasks and learned how to effectively organize and develop their ideas for writing essays. Platforms utilized for university classes: Google Classroom, ZOOM, Moodle.

I teach both first and second year Speaking courses. Through these classes, the students' abilities to communicate in a variety of language and cultural situations are improved through pair and group activities, research projects, presentations, debates, and written reports. In order to make the language learning experience impactful for students, I try to incorporate project based learning practices in my lessons.Platforms Utilized: Google Classroom, ZOOM, Flip.

Created safe, fun and engaging lessons for my class of twenty 4-5 year olds by following the IB PYP curriculum and scopes & sequences guidelines. At the end of each IB unit of inquiry, I planned out and assessed students' via summative assessments. Collaborated in the planning of Sports Day, Culture Day and the Year End Performance. In addition, I taught Saturday English school to students ranging from 1st to 4th grade.

Assistant language teacher at four public schools in the Okayama City area; one middle school and three elementary schools. Helped plan fun, engaging and effective English lessons for various grade levels with the Japanese homeroom teacheres. Classes student numbers ranged between 30-40. In addition to creating a comfortable and creative English environment, I also acted as a cultural ambassador in the classroom. I shared my experiences of being abroad with students and hope to spark in them the joy and curiosity of going overseas. I assisted the International Club teacher at the junior high school by planning activities and engaging students in English conversations.

At OIE I managed front desk duties, administrative work, presented at both the Pre-Departure Meetings and the International Education Week event, assisted with the UVM Open House and helped manage the social media platforms for the office (Instagram and Facebook pages.)As a study abroad returnee I had the privilege of being part of the UVM Buddy Program in which I was paired up with an international student to show them more of the American culture as well as student life at UVM. I served as a source of information and advice for my buddy and for other international students on campus.

I tutored in first and second year level Spanish & Italian, as well as first year level German & Japanese to college students in need of extra academic support.

I Independently carried out café duties, including opening, stocking, cleaningand closing the café. Efficiently prepared food and drink items with customer needs in mind and ran the register while taking multiple customer orders. I created regular customers through friendly, welcoming service and interactions. Through out my time at B&N I frequently trained and mentored new baristas while establishing close, professional rapport with all staff. While doing all of these tasks I ensured that I made effective use of clock-in work hours.
