About Alexandra Sheppard

Since 2014 I have been working in the mental health field/educational department. Working as a paraprofessional for multiple different schools and populations gave me a foundational experience for helping and caring for others. I was able to find my specialty while working in a therapeutic day school for children with trauma, behavioral, and emotional needs. At this time I worked towards my bachelors degree in psychology while also working as a behavioral therapist in ABA. I was then able to put more clinical experience to work while working as a direct care counselor at a group home for teenagers. After graduating with a bachelors degree I worked towards a masters degree in clinical mental health counseling. This is where I found my interest in neurotherapy and was able to dive more into that specialty. I am currently working towards my license as a permanency coordinator with families and children in care while also working towards getting board certified in neurotherapy. I had dreams of opening up my own practice where I am able to help children, teenagers, and families heal from their trauma in a more holistic way.
