• Identifying opportunities to implement commercialisation and making the necessary changes to achieve this;• Implementing and maintaining business partnering;• Liaising directly with the Group Finance Director to develop and implement strategy; • Developing and calculating KPIs to aid in performance monitoring and comparison across sites;• Reviewing and re-designing processes where required, ensuring consistent application of processes across multiple locations;• Managing the finance staff and overseeing all aspects of finance;• Implementing monthly reporting in the form of management accounts;• Consolidating monthly accounts for all group companies; and• Developing budgets and forecasts for all locations and monitoring performance against budget.

• Supervising a team of up to 7 staff in order to deliver a financial audit within a set deadline• Performing external audit of a range of Councils, public bodies and private businesses using both IFRS and UK GAAP• Conducting individual internal audit reviews of internal systems and processes, both new and existing, and producing reports based on my conclusions• Presenting issues at Audit Committee • Holding clearance meetings with clients in order to communicate issues found• Reviewing the work of other staff members• Coaching more junior staff on the correct procedures to be used• Certification of grant claims by reference to guidance from the Welsh Government and the Welsh European Funding Office• Maintaining technical knowledge by research, discussion and completion of training programmes. • Organising meetings and other staff events• Producing proposals in order to win new work for the firm• Answering questions at training events and recruitment days
