Practicing what she used to preach, Alexandra is one of four founders that have joined a strong list of New Zealand entrepreneurs by spinning out and commercialising an exciting climate technology she and the Cetogenix team originally developed at Scion.Alexandra has worked across New Zealand’s public research institutions, supporting scientific research into investor-ready start-up and commercial investment opportunities through PreSeed funding, building commercial capability across the New Zealand innovation ecosystem, and support. No stranger to driving innovation and investment, Alexandra also spent five years based in Canada where she built the University of British Columbia’s BioProducts Institute (BPI) into a globally leading multi-faculty Senate approved research cluster and spearheaded a major pan-Canadian national network for the Canadian circular bioeconomy.
