I am an enthusiastic leader in the field of inclusive education, with over fifteen years of experience working with and within educational systems throughout Vermont in the service of authentic, student-centered engagement across the lifespan from early childhood through to older adults. Through a practice of shared leadership, thoughtful listening and using inclusive practices in every aspect of my work, I endeavor to ensure all team members feel valued, supported, respected and included. I am adept at learning and using technology, utilizing my creative skills and attention to detail to create systems and even in the administrative tasks of managing budgets, contracts, invoicing, grant requirements, human resources, data collection, and program improvement, I align the details to the bigger mission and goals of my organization. I work collaboratively with students, teachers and administrators to create learning experiences that meet the needs of each individual student, classroom and teacher, while focusing also on state and national standards of education. My experience and disposition as a calm, compassionate educator and administrator has also given me the kind of listening skills that are essential for leading teams that value education that is rooted in self-determination and individualized alternatives.
