Lawsuit summarization enhances one such source, a city-provided record of civil actions against the police department, by giving users snapshots of lawsuits and allowing them to search lawsuits by allegation, force type, and other attributes.I am part of a dedicated team of volunteers summarizing and coding lawsuits against NYPD officers, which helps public defenders, civil rights lawyers, journalists, and community advocates investigate and pursue accountability for police misconduct. -

I shadowed Christopher Martin prosecuting a trial and sentencing for possession of class A drugs at Chelmsford Crown Court. I also shadowed James Morrison prosecuting a trial for racially aggravated common assault at Woolwich Crown Court. During this experience I shadowed Vedrana Pehar at Basildon Crown Court in a sentencing for a common assault and an appeal against a driving ban. I was also able to observe other members of chambers during a cross-examination of a witness in an attempted murder trial at this court.
