I grew up on a softball field and compare my passion for helping others to my dedication on the field. I was the first to arrive and the last to leave. Once home from practice, I went back to the field with my father to practice some more. I yearned to better myself, compete at the highest level possible, and encouraged my teammates to do the same. Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to channel that passion and dedication into helping, mentoring and guiding students and professionals as they start their career! The name Alexandra means “helper of mankind,” which is fitting because my goal is to help change student's lives. If I can be a resource throughout your career, please contact me at (612) 876-4808 or Alexandra.Yarosh@bakertilly.com. I look forward to talking with you!

Associate Director Of Graduate AdmissionsWilkes University May 2016 - Oct 2016Wilkes-Barre, Pa, UsThis promotion to Associate Director of Graduate Admissions meant I was the main point of contact for 39 masters-level programs and one doctoral program at Wilkes. I helped coordinate departmental recruiting events, gave campus tours, and organized open houses. I also conducted interviews with potential students and worked closely with our professors and program advisors to better understand the programs and guide each student into the program that best suited their continuing education goals. My goal was to not only meet the needs of potential students, but also help our faculty and staff build a cohort of engaged, successful students. I loved making sure each person who inquired about our programs received the attention and information they needed to make the right decision. I took care of them throughout the process, from screening them upfront to informing them of their acceptance into a program (always the best part). -
Assistant Women'S Softball CoachWilkes University Aug 2015 - Oct 2016Wilkes-Barre, Pa, UsAfter completing my senior season as the varsity women's softball team captain, I moved into the role of assistant softball coach for my team. I’d been an athlete all my life, and realized how different it was being a coach rather than a player. As team captain, I focused on how to inspire my teammates to reach their maximum potential. As a coach recruiting high school players, I needed to identify who had the drive to become great and needed my help to get there. I looked for genuine people with a passion for the sport and a strong desire to succeed. I loved coaching players and knowing I’d helped them achieve their goals. Having some small (or large) impact on their future was incredibly rewarding. I learned how to tailor my approach to each person’s needs; a lesson that serves me well today in my role as a recruiter. -
Graduate AssistantWilkes University Jan 2016 - May 2016Wilkes-Barre, Pa, UsI got my first exposure to recruiting during this graduate assistant role in the Graduate Admissions Office. Part of my role involved assisting with recruiting for all Nursing, Accelerated Nursing, MBA, Engineering, and Education programs. I was offered the opportunity to run six graduate programs and a doctoral program while a coworker was on maternity leave. I said “yes” (because that’s what you do when good opportunities present themselves) and discovered quickly how much I loved recruiting. Until I worked in this role, I didn’t realize I could spending my days interacting with people, offering career advice, and congratulating them upon entering one of our programs. It was a momentous discovery that set the course for my career.
