We have just been certified ! On the basis of the quality management system built and coordinated by me. Since June 2021, I have been single-handedly building a new ISO9001-compliant Quality Management System (QMS) at Image Engineering. Supporting colleagues as they develop the elements of the QMS in their departments and train staff, overseeing and performing internal audits, and managing the development of a system as a whole. We are almost ready!

Work within the staff team to provide hospitality and co-lead Quaker spiritual programme from meditative singing to a book club. Support office team. Produce newsletter and garden guide, including planning scope, working with contributors, photographs, and layout.

The key to advocacy is communication. I managed a small staff team in an international office to speak to policy-makers about Quaker values regarding sustainability, human rights, peace, economic justice, and democratic governance. But, in such a small team, the main work was to engage and inform our Quaker stakeholders. I revamped and renewed communications strategy and content including editing articles for blogs and print, overseeing the revision of the website, and increasing direct outreach through social media, action alerts, and in-person presentations. Other achievements included successful restructuring of recruitment and staff team management, development of coaching skills, and networking with local NGOs.

Global forest management and chain of custody expert observing audits in accordance with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standards in Europe, North and South America, New Zealand and Australia, and Asia. This position required excellent communication, rapid and robust judgements, and keen analysis. I also managed the accreditation relationship with a number of organisations which perform certification audits.Qualified as Lead Auditor ISO9001.A team player, my achievements included pioneering and leading team training to ensure similarity of standards.

Teaching is about communication that fits the student's learning style. As one of three faculty on a denominated undergraduate program in forest management, I designed a variety of learning approaches. On average, we spent 16 hours a week with our students.Achievements included leading a national review of forest policy with a team of six for the Heritage Council, and I also successfully facilitated the development of a national FSC standard with a multistakeholder group.

Social forestry and forest ecology consultancy (SME) focussing on botanical surveys and advising forest owners on ecology and non-timber use of their forests. Specialties: ecological restoration and nature education through recreation use of forests. Achievements include surveying wooded and non-wood sites all over Ireland, and co-leading national training for native woodland assessment and management. Facilitation of stakeholder and team meetings; project management.
