Alexandra has taken a special interest in the revitalization of the downtown peninsula and has worked with homeowners, businesses, and local contractors, renovating historic residences and offices, including her own design studio and art gallery. Alexandra established Innovative Interiors, LLC, in April of 2003, after gaining recognition for her construction knowledge and distinctive interior architectural designs. Charleston Home and Design Magazine recognized her as one of "Charleston's Most Influential Designers" in 2010. The Charleston Regional Business Journal presented her with a "Forty under 40" award at the age of 28. Her design company focuses on new construction and renovation projects.  Alexandra enjoys the development of positive professional relations with her clients, who come with a wide variety of design needs.  This is reflected in her diverse portfolio of inimitable projects.Innovative Interiors is a full-service design firm, specializing in new construction and renovation projects. From conceptualization through project completion, professional services are rendered with personal attention. Each project is customized according to the clients' lifestyle, including their degree of sensitivity to environmental issues. During Alexandra’s first three years in Charleston, she was employed as a residential interior designer, specializing in custom fabrics and furnishings and as a commercial interior designer/AutoCAD draftsperson. She focused on the residential industry for a year. The following year, she joined a commercial design firm, while continuing a part-time position at Them Furniture Company. Her intense schedule provided Alexandra with valuable experience that eventually lead to the creation of her own design firm, where she is able to utilize all her skills, including residential and commercial design expertise.
