About Alexandra Freyer

Born out of overcoming obstacles to breastfeed her first born child (a NICU baby), Alexandra founded MilkWise as a solution to help as many women and babies as possible on their breastfeeding journey. she serves as a mission and product advisor and "Chief MOM Officer" while focusing most of her time raisig her children. She also is a pianist, vocalist and music producer and launching her first EP this Fall under the artist name, EIR.Alex previously led business development and relationships within the LA market for early stage (Pre-Seed / Seed / Series A) tech entrepreneurs, VCs and accelerators at Silicon Valley Bank. She enjoys nurturing relationships and founders' needs as they grow their companies and develop as leaders. Originally from the east coast, Alex has spent time working in New York City and Boston in business development at the Clinton Global Initiative, managing the Girls & Women portfolio, as well as developing operations and marketing at multiple tech startups including TrueX Media, LivingSocial, and HeyWire. Alex’s passion for mindfulness and self-improvement, and her previous experience teaching English and Computer Skills in India as a teenager, led her to return to India to train as a yoga teacher at the Himalaya Yoga Valley Center with Lalit Kumar. She has since been teaching and practicing yoga and meditation for the past decade. She tries to incorporate mindfulness in her approach to all things in her life, including building relationships and helping entrepreneurs succeed.She is also the founder of an herbalism business and ceramics line, LightBody Apothecary. She loves to utilize opportunities for outdoor activities as a way to bond with new clients and friends including skiing, hiking, dance, adventure sports, and of course, yoga.
