Overseeing the approval mechanism for educational visits at Roedean school - ensuring that educational visits meet the Roedean's educational and safeguarding requirements; • I support the Head and Governors with approval decisions; • Ensure that all risk assessments fulfill Roedean's Health and Safety obligations for off-site school visits• Liase with the school bursary to ensure all charges are appropriately made and all invoices are paid• assign competent people to lead or otherwise supervise a visit; • assess the general competence and supervisory ability of leaders and other adults proposed for a visit. • organise the selection, induction, monitoring and further training of leaders • carry out occasional monitoring of visit leaders to identify further training needs; • work with the visit leader to provide parents with information about the visit and obtain the consent or refusal of parents/carers for their child to take part in the visit if necessary; • ensure that emergency arrangements and emergency contact(s) are in place for each visit; • keep records of individual visits including what worked well, what didn’t and any accident/incident reports; • review systems and monitor best practice.

During this internship I was given a number of tasks to complete, which included direct resourcing, screening candidates, writing role profiles and candidate packages whilst also helping to organise a graduate open day. I also liaised with local businesses by making compelling proposals to gain their support for our fundraising events. This enhanced my project management skills as I had to prioritise each task and manage my time effectively in order to support my team whilst also I had the chance to use and develop my communication skills through presenting the cause to other companies. In this role, I was given a number of donations to receive from external businesses and I excelled these targets.
