Alexandra Veverka Email and Phone Number
I am relentless in my personal mission to work diligently in the direction of sustainable practices in agriculture. I have many experiences including education through North Carolina State University, and work at institutions including the U.S. Department of Agriculture and BASF Agricultural Solutions. In my 5 years working both in the classroom and out of the classroom, I have made many discoveries from plant pathology, entomology, and physiology. I have an affinity towards discovery in weed biology, and the use herbicides in the environment. As I join the scientific community, I am reminded that I strive to be a constant and quick learner, benefiting from this community of knowledge myself and hoping to provide a multitude of useful skills and perspectives to add value in our understanding of plants.

The real challenges and questions pressing to North Carolina farmers was addressed in a broad sense with the program activities, and focused with the individual research in cover cropping that was later presented at the NC State Summer STEM Symposium. •Faculty-mentored research training and development of an individual research project • Professional skills and development training with agriculture and extension • Research and experimental trial setup for cover crop termination and competition -
