I am a Software Engineer, Front-end focused, (working mostly with React), with a background in Architecture and the Airline Industry. Having experienced many work environments, alongside different hobbies and occupations, has given me a variety of soft skills, perspectives and a love for multidisciplinary teams.Personality 🏃♂️I pride myself on being a very purposeful learner, motivated by constant "why is it like this" questions. I consider myself to be a competitive person, while also being a very good teammate, which means I strive on constantly developing myself and others around me.Work Experience 🏫I graduated in Architecture in 2005 and worked in the industry for 4 years. Besides working in architecture studios, I was also a research fellow and teacher's assistant, which gave me a new perspective on the education experience. I decided that my efforts were squandered in the architecture industry and became a fligth attendant. I thoroughly enjoyed how the flight crews worked as a team, and the constant contact and communication with co-workers and clients. In 2022 I decided I needed something more challenging, and joined the Web Development Bootcamp at Ironhack.Full-stack development 💻After starting the Bootcamp at Ironhack, I quickly realised how much I love the challenge, the constant puzzle-solving and the creativity that comes with the work. I intend to use the knowledge I have, and will continue to build on, towards something that can impact the world in a positive way. For the last year, I've been developing my proficiency in React at Aeler, focusing on Front-end development, on a digital product centered on effectively presenting intricate data and interactions to users, sourced from an API, and overseeing client actionsBesides work 🏈Hobbies have always been a huge part of my life. I played competitive sports since the age of 8, culminating in a 9 year long American Football career, until the age of 34, where I was team captain and vice-president for the last 7. Practicing, working and travelling alongside a team of 40+ players, with a multitude of backgrounds and ages, really developed my interest for the human experience, education and how to grow as a team and build a legacy.
