During this 6 month internship, I worked as a waiter in the Lebanese restaurant, Balila, opened by the Chef Hussein Hadid. This internship allowed me to discover a cuisine that I didn't know, which is full on sharing and generosity.My duties included welcoming customers, as well as service as a whole: serving drinks, wines and food; ensure customer satisfaction during all their time at the restaurant and cash on departure. I, sometimes, was in charge of the daily closing of the cash register.I was often in charge of the phone after-hours and took customer reservations.

During this intership, I had the opportunity to perfect my knowledge in the F&B department. My tasks were to greet, serve and receive payments of customers. I was aswell the bar manager, meaning that the stock and inventory making were under my responsability. If a reference, was to be missing or lacking I was in charge of sending a request to our suppliers. The restaurant had a cigar shop and a smoking room. Therefore, I had the possibility of learning the bases regarding the cigars.

During this internship of almost 6 months, I occupied the place of floors housekeeper.I did all types of shift: opening, day or closing.During this internship I was able to learn the room control and other places in the hotel such as public places, as well as team management (chambermaids, floor porters, cleaners, florist and linenmaid ). I also had to respect and make the teams respect the LQA standards (Leading Quality Assurance).I was also pretty frequently given the responsibility for customer calls and their satisfaction, and the management of the 95 rooms.Due to the many services related to the housekeeping department (the department itself, front office, room service, sales / marketing, ..) the communication work was also very important.
