I Proofread and translate texts from French to English and from English to French.

This position is twofold. In the administrative role, I am in charge of ensuring that the office functions as a well-oiled machine, managing office supplies, communicating with the building owners regarding any issues, and welcoming visitors to our offices. I am also responsible for the webshop, handling, and shipping, as well as answering any queries customers might have.Regarding the production role, I keep spreadsheets up to date, participate in quality assurance. I regularly proofread English translations and occasionally translate documents myself. I ensure the games travel safely from the factories to the distributors in all the countries where we are present.

In this position I reviewed potentially sensitive content to ensure it corresponds to Google's policies regarding user and data protection, and guaranteed a safe experience across the Google platform. It required a high level of coordination with my peers to ensure the best possible coherence and to maintain Google’s excellent quality standards. Working at Accenture was an excellent introduction to office life. It allowed me to learn to manage my time to reach and beat ambitious objectives in a world-class company. It challenged me like few other jobs had before and gave me the space to evolve in a very multicultural environment.

In this role I provided French language students in the Dublin area with high quality tutoring. It is a position that required me to be able to work independently. I visited my students' homes, assessed their levels, strengths and weaknesses, and then created a learning program and adapted educational content. I used a music-based program for the most part to increase exposure to the language and its sound, as well as to create an association with pleasant times and to improve motivation.This role developed my interpersonal skills and my ability to adapt to new obstacles. It taught me to create original content and to provide great quality services without the need for oversight or support from my employer.

I was hired at Manor Mauvide-Genest for the expertise I could provide as a history student. My main responsibility was to research and develop an exhibition on the subject of XVIIIth century surgery and pharmacy. The project had previously been left in its very early stages and very little of what had been done was left. I researched the subject in detail and created informational content that would be easy to digest by future guides, with or without a history background. I also wrote the text for the guides as well as the outline of the entire tour. Finally, I trained my colleagues so that they could also give the tour and implement my vision.In addition to that and many other smaller projects, I was also a guide myself, and managed the websites and social media accounts. I succeeded in increasing the outreach significantly. am probably most proud of this position. Manor Mauvide-Genest is a non-profit dedicated to the maintenance and promotion of a historically relevant building, and its team is very small. As such, all involved filled several roles. It taught me how to juggle tasks, and to change priorities at a minute’s notice. It showed me the impressive amount of things that can be accomplished by a small team of dedicated people who truly care about what they are doing. It allowed me to make an important contribution and made me into someone who is willing to put in all the energy necessary to succeed.

The Plains of Abraham are a National Park in Quebec city where the main battles between the French and British Empires over control of Canada occurred. My role was to give guided tours of military facilities dating from the XVIIIth and XIXth century. I was mostly guiding school-age groups and leading activities pertaining to military life during those periods, for example practising field battle etiquette or how to fire a cannon. This role greatly improved my ability to speak in public, as well as my ability to organise and oversee big groups. It also developed my capacity to maintain people's interests: as children are often a more difficult audience, silence and discipline are needed.
